Game 4 tonight, at Comerica Park, and the Tigers are facing elimination.
I said it during the April, the problem with building for power is that sometimes, the power goes out. In the course of 162, the bats ebb and flow, and with the big bats the Tigers have, it's likely going to be enough to get you through. And, indeed, it was.
But now, the lights have gone out again. In 27 postseason innings, they've scored in two of them. The pitching has done very well, it's just that the offense hasn't kicked in.
