Sites for Super Bowls in 2016 and 2017 are set. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell made the announcement for the host city for Super Bowl 50 in 2016.
After losing out on its bid to host Super Bowl 50, Miami then became a finalist with Houston for the right to host Super Bowl 51 in 2017. Goodell announced that that game will be played in Texas.
Super Bowl 50 will be played at the San Francisco 49ers' new Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara. It will be the first Super Bowl in California since San Diego's Qualcomm Stadium hosted the game in 2003, and the first in Northern California since Stanford Stadium hosted Super Bowl 19 in 1985. Super Bowl 51 will be at Houston's Reliant Stadium, which last hosted in 2004.

@kdtrey5 steps forward and gives $1mil matching gift to the ARC for disaster relief, text "REDCROSS" to 90999 for a $10 donation.— Red Cross Oklahoma (@redcrossokc) May 21, 2013
Regional Red Cross: “Mr. Durant’s gift and support to Okla. comes at a time of great need and we’re forever thankful for his generosity.”— Royce Young (@dailythunder) May 21, 2013
It's also well-worth mentioning that Kevin Durant did not announce this donation. Rather, the Red Cross was the first to point out Durant's contribution; and while we'd guess that Kevin will come out with a statement eventually, for now he is letting his donation do the talking.
There's isn't much to add beyond this. The devastation in Oklahoma was as stunning as it was swift, and any little bit helps. The Red Cross' localized branch is the best place to go if you want to contribute as Kevin did.
The frustration for the Chicago Blackhawks continues.
First, it was the referees. Now, it's the play of the Detroit Red Wings, who took a 2-1 series lead with a 3-1 victory Monday night. Just take a look at the penalties called in the third period -- all five on Chicago. Detroit did their part, killing off four Blackhawks power plays and putting the game out of reach in the second period.
The Red Wings took the game by the neck midway through the second period and never let go. Gustav Nyquist and Drew Miller scored 31 seconds apart to give Detroit a 2-0 lead. Nyquist's goal was a thing of beauty:
In the third period, the Blackhawks woke up after a questionable hit from behind by Niklas Hjalmarsson left Johan Franzen down on the ice, and Patrick Kane scored on the ensuing rush. Just over a minute later, Andrew Shaw's goal was waived off for goaltender interference and the momentum swung back in the Red Wings' favor for good.
Jimmy Howard (39 saves) was again solid and the Red Wings continued to receive contributions from their depth, a reason why teams succeed this time of year.
While the Blackhawks will need to quickly move past Game 3, the Red Wings -- halfway to the Western Conference Final -- know there's still work to be done and their next two wins will be the toughest to come by.
"We won tonight, but we've got to be back at it on Thursday," Patrick Eaves told NBCSN's Pierre McGuire afterward.
"Let's be honest, we haven't done anything yet," said Mike Babcock.
The NFL's offseason calender may soon be getting an overhaul. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the league and Players' Association are close to pushing back the NFL Draft to May and moving up the start of the league year to before the NFL Combine. Owners meetings are taking place in Boston this week. Tomorrow, the league is expected to announce the San Francisco 49ers' new stadium in Santa Clara will be the site of Super Bowl 50. Miami is also under consideration.
Football player and reality TV star Chad Johnson is getting a hard dose of reality. The former "Ochocinco" was arrested in Broward County, Florida today for alleged probation violation. TMZ.com says a warrant was issued for Johnson's arrest earlier this month after he failed to report to his probation officer and show proof of enrollment in a domestic violence education class. The former "Dancing With The Stars" contestant was placed on probation last year following his domestic violence conviction involving ex-wife Evelyn Lozada last summer. Johnson was cut by the Miami Dolphins shortly after his arrest and lost several big endorsement deals. VH1 also canceled his planned wedding special with Lozada.
