Up and coming organist Matt Bickett will present a concert at Monroe St. United Methodist Church on Sunday, May 6, 2018, at 4:00 p.m. Matt is a native of Portsmouth, Ohio, and is the 2017 first prize winner of the Great Lakes Regional AGO/Quimby Regional Competitions for Young Artists. The program will include music by Bach, Mendelssohn, Florence Price, Marcel Dupré, and others. He performed last summer at the AGO Great Lakes Regional Conference, and was enthusiastically applauded by an audience of church music and organ professionals.
This concert is the final concert on the 2017 – 2018 Monroe St. United Methodist Church Concert Series, and is co-sponsored by the Toledo Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. The concert is free and open to the public. A freewill offering will be graciously received.
